Jasper’s Honor — How Our Mission Began

Every meaningful journey starts with a moment that changes everything.
For me, that moment came from a dog named Jasper.

As a former U.S. Army soldier and police officer, I carried experiences that stayed with me long after the uniforms came off. Like many who have served, I learned to move forward through challenges without showing the weight of what was happening inside. Over time, that weight became harder to ignore.

Jasper was a beloved Bassador, rescued from a shelter at just 4 months old, who went on to enjoy a happy and cherished 8 years of life.  He wasn’t trained or specialized. He was simply a family pet with an incredible instinct for knowing when something wasn’t right. During one of the most difficult periods of my life, Jasper became the steady presence I didn’t realize I desperately needed. He had a way of sensing the moments when everything felt overwhelming, and the PTSD was starting to take over — and grounding me before I even understood what was happening.

Without ever knowing it, Jasper guided me toward seeking help, and eventually toward applying for a PTSD service dog — something that can be life-changing yet often financially out of reach for many people who need the support. The cost of a fully trained service dog is so high that countless individuals never get the opportunity.

When Jasper passed away on June 28th, 2025, I knew I wanted to honor the impact he had on my life. Not by focusing on the loss, but by continuing the good he gave me — the calm, the grounding, and the unspoken understanding.

That is how Jasper’s Honor was born.

This company stands for connection, healing, and support. We create:

Freeze-dried dog treats made with care and quality
Durable climbing-rope leashes and collars built with the same reliability I looked for in my years of service

With every sale, we make a monthly donation to service dog training centers to help those with PTSD in their reach for help with a service dog.

Our mission is simple:
to help others receive the support that changed my life — the kind of support Jasper unknowingly gave me.

Jasper may be gone, but the impact he made continues through every treat, every leash, and every person we’re able to help.

This is his legacy;
This is Jasper’s Honor.
